What was capping them
Song Architect sells finished songs: writing, production, mixing and mastering. The people who buy that have usually spent weeks getting an idea half way there on their own, across voice memos, a notes app and whatever they could remember of a chord progression. The brand had nothing to offer at that stage, so it met artists late, and cold.
What we built
A phone app that is useful on its own and leads naturally to the studio offer when the song is ready for it.
The centre of it is capture: tap, sing or hum the idea, and it lands in a vault as a project with a status from idea to finished. Each project has a lyrics editor that understands verses, choruses and bridges, a chord editor with real shapes, and a key and BPM finder. Around that sit the tools:
- Coach, a conversation with an AI that knows songwriting craft and remembers the project it is talking about.
- Song Diagnosis, which reads a draft and says what is working and what is missing.
- Block Breaker, Daily Prompt and Mood to Chord for the blank page.
- Rhyme Helper and Audio Analysis for the detail work.
There is a discover feed for finished songs, an account that works as a guest until the artist wants to keep something, and a light and a dark theme in the brand's blue.
What changed
The brand now has something to give an artist on day one instead of day thirty, and the studio offer arrives as the obvious next step in the same app rather than an advert. The build is still moving; this is where it stands.
